Where you show up + how you show up teaches your audience how to spend time with you. Be choosy, my friend, and work on defining the way that your spaces line up + what types of content you’ll provide where.
It’s crucial your audience develops a relationship with you - parasocial + or 1:1. Start ideating + outlining the ways in which you can bond + create trust with your ideal clientele.

With this pillar you’ll be looking for two things: 1) the languages + perspectives that will align you to bond with your dream clientele; + 2) your purpose-driven philosophy that shapes everything you do. Focus on finding these two story elements + your content is going to hit so. much. differently.
PURPOSEFUL PODCASTING 🎙️
Honestly, even though this is geared towards creating consciusly addictive podcasts, you can actually extend this to any kind of content creation. You’re gonna want to prioritize three things:
- Sound Quality - You might be surprised at how many podcasters don’t worry about this. But if folks can’t hear you, they aren’t going to try!
- Story-Arcing - Tell a story, but spread it throughout your episodes. Incorporate segments or themes that allow the next part of the story to be told. This is the addictive part!
- Listener Experience - It’s important to have a place where listener’s can enjoy the world of the podcast outside of listening - a space where they can engage + chat the chat with you!
The key to being noteworthy is really just to have something that you provide, say, or create that is worth noting. And the best way to do that is to build a narrative-based experience for folks to engage in. Write your brand story + make it your whole persona. ▪️
Let’s be real - as conscious creators, when are we not creating? But also, how often do we end up creating just because we feel like we have to? As you move through this pathway, you’ll want to continually check-in with your creation systems + return to solely building purpose-driven content.
- Regularly block-off time in your calendar for creation time.
- Commit to your creation date.
- Ensure the creations you build are serving the purpose you lead!
This is the part of your story, or even perhaps your pitch, that informs your ideal clientele why you can be trusted to guide them. Work on building a short + sweet story that makes choosing to work with you a no-brainer.
- Get clear on your value proposition + what problems you help solve.
- Make a list of your accomplishments.
- Tie steps one + two into a thoughtful, immersive, no-brainer story of why folks can trust you.
This is just a fancy way of looking at your signature topics + what it is that you want to be known for or rank for. But instead of simply having the resouces on these topics, build a journey out of going through them + diving in.
- Get clear on what you want to be known for.
- Pair it with your brand + content pillars.
- Outline how your audience will access + engage within this key content.
This is a step up from the keyword navigation outline. Now that you know what you want to be your signature, you’re going to take that outline + make a hierarchical path (think pyramid), of how your content is going to be dispursed. You want one big idea + piece of content that’s sprinkled throughout your platforms.
- Define your primary platform where your biggest + most valuable piece of content is published.
- Then decide what platform you’ll use to support + expand the experience of that content. ie, podcast episode is supported by a paired blog post
- Tie in social forms of content that can share one big idea or a highlight from your primary content in several, small chunks.
With everything you’ve done so far, we’re now in a natural progression of incorporating a story-arc into your content. Meaning, creating series or using themed ideas. This will make viewers want to come back to get the next part + stay tuned in.
- Reflect on your Keyword Navigation + what you’re currently promoting to decide what to create a story-arc around.
- Come up with a series of at least 3-5 primary posts that will nurture + support your current promotion.
- Voila! Then simply create!
